I had a chance to finally count the money. I may be off by about $5K - $10K because I was trying to count it as fast as I could but we have at least $627,000.00 here. That is a little less than I thought was here. I have never seen that much money in one place before so I over-estimated the amount, but I can certainly retire on half of that.

If I could get the money as far away as South Africa, I would not need anyone's help in this. The main problem that I have is that I am unable to travel more than a few hours away from here. That would put me at a maximum distance of about 220km away from here. The best that I can do is to get the money to a place as far south of here as I can in a single evening. Obviously, I will put it in a place that is easy for you to find.
Remember, I am not in a position of authority here. I am just the guy that fixes things and keeps the place clean. My absence would be obvious. I do not want to get caught doing this. At my age, any prison time that I would get could easily be the rest of my life. I do not want to spend the rest of my life in jail.

I understood your fears but I have to consider the danger I have to face. Why I suggested that you move the money to R. South Africa is that since I cannot be issued a visa in the shortest time, I will introduce my in-law who is presently in south Africa to carryout the operation on my behalf.

What part of this don't you understand? I cannot get the money to South Africa. Don't even ask this anymore because it will never happen. Like I said before, if I was able to get the money to South Africa, I never would have contacted you in the first place. Why would I need anyone's help then? When I take the money, it will be at night when everyone is asleep. I will only have enough time to move it south into a spot that will be easy for you to pickup.
Who is this in-law of yours? I am not comfortable telling and involving more people in this and I do not plan on taking less than 50% of this money. If you are involving others in this, aren't they going to want some of this money? This will have to come out of your share of this since I never agreed to this new person joining us in this.
Also, if this in-law of yours is already in South Africa, he is already close. Have him drive over to the coast.

I have not informed my in-law yet until I seek your knowledge.I dont think is the right time to discuss about percentage sharing but on how to get this funds out of it's present location. I dont mind sharing out of my own with my in-law but am really concern of a risk free operation.

I guess that if you trust him with our money then I should probably trust your judgement. The sooner we get the money, the better. I just don't like surprises.
As far as risk, I am doing everything that I can to keep the risk for all of us at a minimum. Obviously, I am assuming the greatest risk. If I get caught, I am going to jail. What risk are you or your in-law assuming? I suppose that someone could stop you with the money before you were able to get out of Namibia but then, you could simply tell them a half-truth. That you found the money somewhere, which will be the truth. Nothing would would happen to you (other than we'd lose the money).
Since your in-law is only a couple of days away, how soon do you think that he could pickup the money? I do not like the money sitting here for such a long time. The longer it sits here, the greater the chance that someone else will move it before we can take it.

Like I told you before, I am going to place a GPS tracker with the money. This will be so easy it will make you laugh. It's already making me laugh.
Your brother in-law will have to rent a GPS locator and satellite phone. Since you are concerned for his safety, a satellite phone is the best route. Cell coverage here is sparce and will probably not allow him to call anyone if he needs to.
GPS locators are very easy to use. They give you your precise location represented as a set of coordinates. One set represents your distance north or south and the other set of coordinates represents your distance east or west. They are accurate within less than one meter. All locations are in relation to zero latitiude, zero longitude (look at any globe to see where zero-zero is). Your brother in-law can pickup one of these units in Windhoek at the following retailer. The people there will show him how simple it is to use if he has never used one before.

Now, once he has the GPS locator, he needs to know where the money is. Either you or I can give him the coordinates of the money. Since you are going to stay in Lagos, this will work to our advantage. You will be able to watch and talk to him him while he picks up the money via the GPS tracking website that I gave you earlier. When I place the money, I will give you the tracker number and you will be able to see the coordinates and satellite photographs of the location. It should be fairly easy for him to find the package because I plan on putting the money right along the shore, sort of out in the open. It will be covered by a sandy colored tarp.
When does he think that he can do this? It is important that we get the timing right on this. I do not want the money sitting out there longer than it needs to. I do not want anything to happen to it.

He will also rent the phone so i can talk to him. after he has gps and phone he will go to the spot where the money is. This is great news. It looks like I will finally be able to retire.
Here is what I am going to do. Friday evening, I am going to take the money and drive as far south as I possibly can. I will place the money along the coastline. There is a road that goes all the way up the coast from Swakopmund in the south to the northern border. Instruct him to head to Swakopmund first and then simply head north from there. I will be able to give you the exact location of the money once I place it and activate the GPS tracker. You will be able to see the money's location online and be able to pass along the details to your brother in-law. I will also try to make myself available to speak to him on the phone too but, if it discovered that the money is missing by then, that may be difficult if not impossible.

We are almost out of the woods. I have taken the money and placed it a couple hundred miles south of here right along the shore. It should be super easy to find. It is in a black, watertight case and is covered with a grey, canvas tarp. I would have taken it farther south for your brother in-law but it was so dark last night, I was forced to drive slower than I wanted. It was difficult to see where I was going.
Go to http://gpsflight.catholiccall.org and in the upper right hand corner of the page, enter "063915". That is the tracker that is with the money. I have also attached a map to this email and marked the approximate spot for your reference.
Speaking of your brother in-law, where is he? Shouldn't he be in Windhoek by now? Remember to have him email me as soon as he can. I want to get the satellite phone's number.

That is great news. I hope that you have had an easy journey so far. I also hope that Okoma has passed along the map to you that I sent him. I think that you will find it very easy to find the package. All you need to do is take the coastal road North. Keep going past Cape Cross for about 20km. If you are using the GPS locator, you will know when you are getting close. I put the package very close to the shoreline, well away from the road. It's covered with a grey tarp so no one can easily see it. Don't worry about the package getting wet. It is totally watertight and even floats. The money inside is quite safe.

How dare you! I have done everything that I can to make this all work. Do you think that I planned for this to happen? If Tony would have gotten there sooner, the damn box would not have been taken by the water. I can't just pickup and leave. You know that so don't even ask that question. I do not understand why you do not go help my brother in-law. If you have so much to take from this like you say you should do this. Tony waited all day for the box to move on land but it would not move any farther. Tony complains that he needs to get back to South African becuse he has a job. I really am sorry for the trouble. When I put the money there the other night, it was really dark. I guess that I put the money closer to the water than I thought. I am still very optimistic though. No one knows that the money is missing yet. I may be able to head South and give it a shot myself. The only problem is that the money may move some time between me checking its location on the web and my arrival to where the money is supposed to be. One other thing to keep in mind is that the box that the money is in floats and that the GPS transmitter in the box has batteries that last two full months. We can still recover the money.
